Nestled on an 11-acre secluded property with 400 feet of river frontage along the Muskegon River in Newaygo, Michigan, the Oak Heart Lodge extends its serene grounds to thousands of disabled veteran members and dedicated volunteers who champion the Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing mission.

Originating in 2005 as an initiative aiding wounded military personnel at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, particularly those returning from conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, Project Healing Waters has evolved dynamically, establishing its acclaimed program across Department of Defense (DOD) hospitals, Warrior Transition Units (WTU), Veterans Affairs medical centers, and clinics nationwide.
