A reel that is ideal for smaller saltwater species, estuary, river or boat fishing and is also great for lake work for freshwater species.
This model features the Easy Cast System, the drag reel also has a silent drag and an auto fish alert that sounds when a fish takes line.
All major components are injection moulded graphite and fibre glass. All metal components are stainless steel or brass.
A drag lever on the back of the reel will allow you to disengage the anti-reverse mechanism.
The smooth clutch is a multi-plate design with polished brass plates combined with PTFE coated woven glass washer which can also withstand very high temperatures.
Available in left hand wind.

The TurboCast system on a strong graphite back will match up with 2.4 to 3.2m rods with lighter action. A well shaped injection moulded fibre glass spool gives great casts. 55BC has a non-reverse action controlled by a switch on the back of the reel and also has a smooth multi-plate clutch. A sporty laser cut handle plate adds to the modern look of the reel. This reel sits off the rod slightly more than a normal reel allowing better line flow and increased casting distance. The smooth clutch is a multi-plate design with polished brass plates combined with PTFE coated woven glass washer which can also withstand very high temperatures. A fish alert switch on the back side of the reel can be engaged when leaving the rod and reel unattended to warn you of a fish taking line.
