Ludwig van Veijeren was knee-deep with his fishing rod in the Klein Brak River in the southern Cape on Saturday afternoon when he made an unlikely catch – a writhing puff adder.
He was out with three friends at their usual fishing spot, on a morning he described as fairly quiet.
