Underlight Angler is a fishing artifact that is obtained through a quest from World of Warcraft: Legion. To obtain it after Legion is incredibly complicated and a bit of a time-sink. Rest assured, the fishing artifact is still obtainable. With the reworked professions system in the latest expansion, you can now equip special equipment relating to your profession. This includes fishing rods.

Because of this, you can now equip your fishing rod in the profession tab rather than your main hand! By doing this, it means that the special effect that comes with the artifact will be permanently available when in the water. This means that when you are in the water, you will instantly turn into a fish.

How Can I Obtain Underlight Angler In Dragonflight?

Obtaining Underlight Angler in World Of Warcraft: Dragonflight is a bit complicated. It might be a bit time-consuming, but if you enjoy fishing it could be worth it for you.

The first thing you need to do is get Legion Fishing to max level. This is very easy to do. It may take a bit of time, but it’s pretty simple to do.

The second thing you need to do is get the achievement Bigger Fish To Fry. This is the part where it can get a little bit complicated and drawn out. The best thing to do is buy at least thirty Arcane Lures from Conjurer Margoss.

It is helpful to have the Anglers Fishing Raft for this achievement, which is a toy you can get from The Anglers. However, if you don’t have it, it isn’t the end of the world. This achievement is still doable without it.

The next step is to go into each zone to find the rare fish necessary for the achievement and fish up the rare fish. The best way to find them is by looking in the big fish pools. These are more likely to yield rare fish than fish randomly in open water.

Next, you have to get the Luminous Pearl. This is a random spawn and you can get it from anywhere in Legion. However, the best place to get it is the Jandvik coastline in Suramar. Once you have fished this up, you will get a quest. Follow the quest instructions and you will get the Underlight Angler!

How To Power Up The Underlight Angler In Dragonflight

Powering up the Underlight Angler is crucial, as it helps you to unlock talents for the fishing rod that can be used whilst you are using it. Unfortunately, the Undercurrent ability no longer works past Legion, but the others do.

You are going to want to catch rare fish to power up the fishing rod. These can be caught in the places from where you were fishing for them before. Make sure to use them to get the artifact power.

To buy the perks for your Underlight Angler, you have to visit the Dalaran Fountain with the pearl floating in it. There, you will be able to access the menu for all of the perks available.

This part will take quite a while, but once you’re done, your Underlight Angler will be powered up and ready for Dragonflight!
