JOHANNESBURG – The figures released by Statistics South Africa reflect the country’s economic performance between July and September 2022.
The Agriculture, Forestry and fishing industries performed the best, with a 19.2 % increase between July and September.
There’s been increased economic activity reported for field crops and horticulture products.
Finance, real estate and business services increased at a rate of 1.9%.
Seven of the 10 manufacturing divisions reported positive growth rates in the third quarter.
Economists warn that the third quarter performance comes off a low base.
